Seminars

We provide a series of classroom seminars with knowledgeable and experienced instructors. We offer many different classes including Air Brakes, Dangerous Goods, Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC), WHMIS, and First Aid.

Air Brakes (No Experience, 8 hours)

This course will provide you the knowledge that you need to use, maintain, and had adjust the air brakes system found on transport trucks. 8 hour Air Brake training program which instructs candidate's on proper Air Brake instruction and is intended for the person who has little to no experience with air brakes. Upon successful completion (minimum 70%), a candidate will receive a wallet card.

Air Brake Adjustment (Experienced, 4 hours)

We have developed and now offers this four hour seminar which instructs drivers on proper air brake adjustment procedures in accordance with the CVSA (Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance) which is an agreed standard of vehicle fitness for all of USA and Canada. Although there is no written test, all candidates must attend the full four hour session and adjust brakes on the simulator to receive their wallet card.

Dangerous Goods (8 hours)

Eight hour Seminar which includes classification of dangerous goods, identification of dangerous goods, responsibilities, less than truckload and general freight, transportation in bulk, transportation of hazardous waste, interline and intermodel movements, Canada / United States freight movements, training and a 50 question test which the candidate must achieve 70% or better to receive certification.

Hours of Service/Log Books (4 hours)Classroom

This course has been redesigned to meet the new Laws and Standards that took effect Jan 1, 2007. You can sign-up for this course to be refreshed and brought up to date with the changes. Or we will also come to your company and cover the new material with your existing drivers.

Professional Driver Improvement Course (6 hours)

Six hour Seminar that instructs candidates on defensive driving practices for the Transport Industry. Topics covered include positive approach, space invaders, close encounters, safe passing and some other types of collisions, mystery crash, prevention - the professional way.

WHMIS (4 hours)

WHMIS (work hazard material information systems), is recognized course and will give you general information you need know in order to handle and use chemicals found in the average workplace. Four hour seminar which includes classifications, labels (supplier and workplace), material safety data sheets, laboratory regulations, trade secrets, written test / review. Client must supply their MSDS' prior to seminar. Wallet card issued upon successful completion.
