Programs

At Commercial Safety College we offer a wide variety of programs. Please select one from the list on the side.

Student Programs

Student programs are programs that are available to individuals that can take to learn new skills or improve existing ones.

• The Straight Truck program is a three week program designed for those drivers who have little or no truck driving experience.

• The Tractor Trailer program is for those who wish to pursue a career as a long haul truck driver. This course is a twelve (12) week program (8 weeks at the college, and 4 weeks of internship.)

• We offer a twelve (12) week Heavy Equipment training program broken into four modules(excavator, backhoe, loader, dozer) so you can take any piece of heavy equipment. Our system allows you the flexibility to take only the training you need to accomplish your goals.

• Commercial Safety College developed the five (5) day Forklift program for inexperienced operators. The program combines both classroom and "hands on" training. We are pleased to offer this program at a Client's location or our own location in Masstown, Nova Scotia.

Custom Programs

Custom programs are programs that we offer to businesses or people who are already in the industry. These programs may not be offered to all individuals and may need a company sponsor to qualify. Custom programs are ideal to companies that are wanting to upgrade or train employees with information and skill that are designed to their company's needs and standards

• The Bus Operator program teaches an unskilled worker the skills necessary to enter the workforce as an entry level School Bus Operator. The course provides an opportunity to take part in a valuable, challenging and productive career.

• We conduct Crane / Boom training in the following: Mobile Crane Class A, Mobile Crane Class B, Boom Truck A, Boom Truck B, Overhead Traveling Crane, HIAB Knuckleboom Truck, Ship's Gantry Crane, Pedestal Crane and Yard Gantry Crane.

• We provide a series of classroom Seminars with knowledgeable and experienced instructors. We offer many different classes including Air Brakes, Dangerous Goods, Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC), WHMIS, and First Aid.
